Online Training

Educational opportunities are continually being developed as part of our commitment to improving data quality and providing resources for data managers for data reporting to the CIBMTR. CIBMTR Training has implemented eLearning for easily accessible training which is available whenever needed (24/7). Here is our Course Menu:

Application Series

FormsNet3 Recipient Application Training (20 minutes)
FormsNet3 is the system we use to collect and store Recipient transplant data. The purpose of this training module is to familiarize the new user with FormsNet3 features and functionality. Access the eLearning here.

eDBtC Data Sharing (10 minutes)
The eDBtC application in the Portal, gives your center self-service access to comprehensive report form (CRF) and Transplant Essential Data (TED). This training shows how to set filters and use this enhanced version which replaces the original DBtC data retrieval application. Access the eLearning here.

CPA Tutorial (10 minutes)
Centers have been asking for ways to better use their data to better understand their performance, and monitor their own quality initiatives. A tool for this is here - Center Performance Analytics, or CPA. This eLearning will show you how to select filters that will give your center self-service access to comparatively analyze your transplant center specific survival data relative to aggregated data from other USA centers. Access the eLearning here.

Query Functionality (10 minutes)
CIBMTR staff have the ability to place a query directly on certain questions in FormsNet3 which allows the data manager to see immediately where queries need to be resolved. This training will demonstrate through video how to respond to an active query, ultimately saving time in the resolution of data quality issues. Access the eLearning here.

Form Series

Baseline Form 2000 (20 minutes)
The Baseline Form 2000 is essential for Comprehensive Report Forms submission. The content includes reporting of several form sections, such as: laboratory tests, infections, preparative regimen, and socioeconomic questions. Access the eLearning here.
Cellular Therapy Forms Submission (16 minutes)
Explanation and overview of the CIBMTR Cellular Therapy data collection forms for new therapies, how the forms come due, and required follow-up reporting. Access the eLearning here.
CRID 2804 (8 minutes)
This course explains how to register a first-time recipient with CIBMTR; perform a CRID search; edit auto-populated fields; and other key points to completing the CRID 2804 accurately. Access the eLearning here.
Indication for CRID Assignment (Form 2814) (8 minutes)
This form in FormsNet, serves as a trigger for many other forms to come due for the different indication types of data that CIBMTR is collecting. Access the eLearning here.
Infusion Data (Form 2006) Reporting Overview (12 minutes)
The Form 2006 is designed to be a comprehensive data collection form for product-related information; this means that the data fields are designed to capture information for a variety of product sources and product types which can make the form challenging to complete in certain instances. Access the eLearning here.
Reporting Preparative Regimen on Pre-TED (Form 2400) and Baseline (Form 2000) (20 minutes)
The purpose of this eLearning is to provide instruction on the correct reporting of the preparative regimen dosing, intensity, and drugs on the Pre-TED and Baseline Forms. Access the eLearning here.
HLA Series
HLA Reporting (Form 2005) (18 minutes)
The content of this eLearning will focus on when and how to report on Form 2005; plus provide instruction on reading laboratory reports for form reporting accuracy. Access the eLearning here.
HLA for the Rest of Us (17 minutes)
If you have little to no knowledge of HLA and biology, this fun session is for you. Simple terms are used to describe what HLA is, why it matters, and how to communicate HLA to donors, patients, and the general public. This eLearning replaces former modules. Access the eLearning here.

Disease Specific Series
Multiple Myeloma 101 - part 1 “Understanding the Basics and Relevant Assessments” (20 minutes)
Multiple Myeloma disease status reporting can be challenging, due to the numerous patient assessments performed throughout the disease course and the many disease options. This module is intended to provide basic information about the pathophysiology of myeloma and the assessments used to evaluate myeloma, as well as strategies for organizing key assessments. Access the eLearning here.
Multiple Myeloma 101 – part 2 “Reporting Myeloma Disease Status” (30 minutes)
This module is intended to help understand how those assessments determine appropriate disease status for CIBMTR reporting based on the international myeloma working group (IMWG) criteria. Access the eLearning here.
MDS & MPN Reporting (30 minutes)
This module is intended to provide basic information about the pathophysiology of MDS and MPN, help identify and organize the key assessments used to track MDS and MPN, and understand how those assessments determine appropriate disease status for CIBMTR reporting. Access the eLearning here.
General Topics
Research Sample Submission (8 minutes)
The purpose of this training is to inform transplant centers data management, laboratory staff, or anyone who handles blood sample collection how to accurately submit recipient and/or related donor hematopoietic stem cell transplant samples with its accompanying forms to the Research Sample Repository and CIBMTR. Access the eLearning here.
